Bio

Praised for her "beautiful, pure, and caressing voice" (Kansas City Metropolis), Anne-Marie Dicce has performed as a soloist and ensemble singer throughout North America, Europe, and South America. A frequent interpreter of 17th/18th and 20th/21st century music, her recent solo appearances have included the Bach Weinachtsoratorium (Oregon Bach Festival solo debut) , St. Matthew Passion, St. John Passion, and B Minor Mass, Handel's Israel in Egypt and Messiah, and Haydn's Die Schöpfung. Highlights of recent seasons include performances with the GRAMMY award winning ensemble Conspirare in Austin and on tour in Norway, True Concord Voices & Orchestra in Tucson, Spire Chamber Ensemble in Kansas City, Bach Collegium San Diego, Sacramento Baroque Soloists and Albuquerque Baroque Players. 

In 2015, she was honored to have been invited to be the Soprano Vocal Fellow at the Oregon Bach Festival under the direction of Matthew Halls.  Anne-Marie has worked with such renowned conductors as Richard Egarr, Helmuth Rilling, Matthew Halls, Steven Schick, Paul Salamunovich, Jung-Ho Pak, David Chase, Maria Guinand, and Ruben Valenzuela. She has recorded numerous projects, most recently including the Bach B Minor Mass with the Bach Collegium San Diego, Bach's six Motets also with BCSD, an album of new music by Pultizer-prize winning composer Roger Reynolds, new music by Derek Keller on the Tzadik label, and Benjamin Britten's War Requiem on the Hänssler Classic label with the Festivalensemble Stuttgart conducted by Helmuth Rilling.

Anne-Marie received her Doctor of Musical Arts and Masters degrees from the University of California, San Diego, maintains an active voice studio in the San Diego area, and served multiple terms on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) San Diego Chapter. Her doctoral dissertation included research in synesthesia and the connection between early and contemporary vocal music techniques.
