Bio

Anne-Marie Dicce has performed as a soloist and ensemble singer throughout North America, Europe, and South America, most notably on tour in Mexico City and throughout Bolivia and Germany. A frequent interpreter of early music as well as 20th and 21st century music, Anne-Marie has participated in a variety of festivals and ensembles including the Oregon Bach Festival, Bach Collegium San Diego, Festival Ensemble Stuttgart, Festival Internacional del Organo Barroco (Mexico City), Festival Internacional de Música Barroca (Bolivia), IRCAM Festival in Paris, Los Angeles Philharmonic Green Umbrella Series and the La Jolla Symphony Chorus. Recent solo appearances include the Bach Weinachtsoratorium (Oregon Bach Festival solo debut), St. Matthew Passion and B Minor Mass, Handel's Israel in EgyptDixit Dominus, and Messiah, Haydn's Die Schöpfung and numerous Bach cantatas.

Anne-Marie has worked with such renowned conductors as Richard Egarr, Helmuth Rilling, Matthew Halls, Steven Schick, Paul Salamunovich, Jung-Ho Pak, David Chase, Maria Guinand, and Ruben Valenzuela. She has recorded numerous projects, most recently including the Bach B Minor Mass
with the Bach Collegium San Diego, Bach's six Motets also with BCSD, an album of new music by Pultizer-prize winning composer Roger Reynolds, new music by Derek Keller on the Tzadik label, and Benjamin Britten's War Requiem on the Hänssler Classic label with the Festivalensemble Stuttgart conducted by Helmuth Rilling.

Anne-Marie received her Doctor of Musical Arts and Masters degrees from the University of California, San Diego, maintains an active voice studio in the San Diego area, and served multiple terms on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) San Diego Chapter. Her doctoral dissertation included research in synesthesia and the connection between early and contemporary vocal music techniques.

Highlights of the 2015-2016 season include concerts with True Concord Voices and Orchestra (formerly Tucson Chamber Artists), including Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, return appearances with Spire Chamber Ensemble in Kansas City, various projects with the Bach Collegium San Diego including the Monteverdi Vespers of 1610, the South Coast Chamber Choir, and debuts with Vox Humana in Dallas, TX and with the GRAMMY-award winning ensemble Conspirare in Austin, TX. Anne-Marie was invited to be the 2015 soprano Vocal Fellow at the Oregon Bach Festival under the direction of Matthew Halls, where she has been a core member of the OBF Berwick Chorus since 2013.
